Take a DVD "field trip" to visit some sheep and shepherds on the Navajo Reservation. Watch and learn while visiting the homes of some Navajo women as they talk about and demonstrate carding, spinning, washing and dying wool. Then the students get active by producing yarn from a small amount of raw wool.
